Jesus calls us to renewal Mark 1:14-15

One of the frustrations we experience as we try to live for God is that our spiritual life grows stagnant.  The initial joys of knowing Christ fade.  The enthusiasm to serve God wanes.  The changes that we hoped to see in ourselves (and let’s be honest, the changes we wanted to see in others!) seem less and less likely to happen.  We feel stuck.

Thankfully, Jesus teaches us how to experience renewal.  It is through a life of ongoing repentance and faith.  God enables us to see more clearly the layers of sin in our heart and to repent more deeply.  This brings us afresh to the wonder of Jesus’ love and mercy shown at the cross.  Join us this Sunday as Jesus teaches us to experience renewal.
