Examples from Spies and a Prostitute (Joshua 2:1-21)

March 24, 2024- We will be looking at Joshua 2 and Rahab’s interaction with the spies who go into Jericho. A few themes that we want to look at: (1) When God has guaranteed the victory why is Joshua sending spies and worried about strategy? (2) Immediately after the Books of the Law forbidding lying why is Rahab blessed for lying? (3) When all of Jericho is condemned to destruction why is Rahab’s household saved and what does that point us ahead to with her being one of the women included in Jesus’ genealogy?
